Terms for design work.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

These terms cover design work you book with me directly through rafsdesign.com: a UX Audit, Design hours, a Design Sprint or a larger project. They're written for business clients. If anything here differs from a written scope we've both agreed, the written scope wins.

Questions? Email [email protected].

1. Who you're working with

The work is done by me, Raf (RafsDesign), a designer registered as a sole trader in France. My full legal details appear on every invoice.

2. Scope

The UX Audit and Design hours are described on the Services page. A Design Sprint or a larger project starts with a written scope and price, agreed before anything is paid.

Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before I start it.

3. Prices and payment

4. Start date and refunds

After you book, I email you within 24 hours to confirm a start date. If I can't start within 2 weeks of your payment, you get a full refund.

Once work has started, payments cover the work done and aren't refundable, unless the written scope says otherwise.

5. What I need from you

Access to the product (a link, a demo account or a TestFlight invite) and feedback within the agreed timeline. If access or feedback arrives late, delivery dates move by the same amount of time.

6. Feedback and changes

Feedback rounds are included as set out in the Services page or the written scope. Changes beyond that are quoted separately.

7. Ownership

When the work is paid in full, you own the final deliverables made for you and can use them as you wish. I keep the right to my general methods, templates and know-how.

I only show your project in my portfolio or case studies with your permission.

8. Confidentiality

I keep your product, data and business information confidential and use them only to do the work.

9. Ending early

Either of us can end the work early by email. You pay for the work done up to that date, and you receive it.

10. Liability

I do the work with care and skill. My total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid for it. I'm not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost revenue or data.

11. Law

These terms are governed by French law.
