Selvage Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Selvage: Quilt Calculator, provided by The Indiepreneurs.

1. Your quilts and settings

Your quilts, fabrics, measurements and settings are stored locally on your device. Selvage has no account and no sign-in, and it does not upload your quilts to our servers.

Local app data may be included in device backups according to your Apple settings. Removing the app may remove your saved quilts.

2. Sharing and exporting

When you choose to share a shopping list or a PDF, Selvage hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next (Messages, Mail, Files, a printer) is up to you, and those services operate under their own privacy policies. Selvage does not receive a copy.

3. Purchases and Pro access

Selvage offers Selvage Pro as an optional one-time purchase. There is no subscription.

Apple processes payments through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email address or payment-card details. The app only checks with Apple whether Pro is unlocked on your Apple Account, so it can unlock Pro and restore it on your other devices.

4. Support communications

If you contact us by email or through our website, we receive the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, email address, device details, screenshots and a description of your issue.

We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot problems and improve the app. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, Apple verification codes or unnecessary personal information.

Information collected by the Rafsdesign website is also subject to that website’s privacy policy, where applicable.

5. Advertising, analytics and tracking

Selvage contains no advertising and no analytics.

We do not use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Sharing information

Information may be processed by service providers that help operate purchases and respond to support requests, including Apple and the services used for email and website support.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate fraud or address security issues.

7. Data retention

Quilt data remains on your device until it is changed, reset or removed. Copies in device backups are governed by your device and backup settings.

Support communications are retained for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and related follow-up.

Purchase records are kept by Apple to maintain and restore purchase access.

8. Security and international processing

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled through our services. No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee complete security.

Our service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Their privacy policies describe their processing practices and applicable safeguards.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can:

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, or request data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need information to verify your request. Some records may need to be retained for legal reasons or to maintain purchase entitlements.

Requests concerning information held independently by Apple may need to be directed to Apple.

You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children’s privacy

Selvage does not require an account or ask users to provide their age, name or contact information.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact [email protected] so we can review and address it.

Purchases are subject to Apple’s account settings and parental controls.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our services or our information-handling practices change.
